Metro Denver Neighborhoods
Baker
Historical Baker subdivision in central Denver began in the 1890's. Bounded
by 6th Avenue, Broadway, Mississippi Avenue, and the Platte River.
Bonnie Brae
This neighborhood was designed to resemble a village in Scotland complete with
shops, a central park and curving streets. Today, you can find homes of varying
architectural styles: Cape Cod, English Tudor, brick ranch and more.
Capitol Hill
"Capitol Hill" in Denver refers to the general areas east of the State Capitol
Building. This is further defined as in an east-west direction between Lincoln
and Josephine and a North-South direction between 18th and East 7th Avenue.
Cheeseman Park
A historical Cheeseman Park founded in 1859 was home to some of Denver's highest
social circles.
Cherry Creek
The Cherry Creek neighborhood is bounded by; Sixth Avenue on the north, Colorado
Boulevard on the east, Alameda Avenue and Cherry Creek Drive on the south, and
York Street on the west.
Cherry Hills
The Cherry Hills area is south of Denver and features high quality homes on large, treed
lots. Home of the Cherry Hills Country Club, this area is renowned for beautiful
properties with close proximity to the Tech Center.
Congress Park
Congress Park is located at 9th Ave. and Elizabeth Street. The name came from
the Act of Congress that converted Denver's former cemeteries from Federal to
City ownership. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with children's wading
pool and bathhouse, 8 tennis courts, 2 informal softball fields, 1 soccer field,
1 playground, 2 parking lots, 1 covered picnic area by playground, basketball court,
several picnic benches throughout the park, and restroom facilities.
Curtis Park
Historical Curtis Park is a neighborhood that's just Northeast of Downtown Denver.
Created between 1870 and 1893.
East 7th Avenue
The East 7th Avenue is Denver's largest historic district.
Hampden Heights
Hampden Heights - located in the Southwest tip of Denver. An area for the golfer at heart.
Highlands 460
The Highlands 460 Subdivision is located in the City of Centennial. The Homes
can be considered more along the lines of estate size homes and easy access to
premium retail shopping.
Littleton
Littleton sprawls across three counties: Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe.
Littleton is home to a thriving and beautiful historic district. A number of
Planned Urban Development (PUD) neighborhoods have been developed in the
surrounding area and offer entry-level homes to very high-end luxury properties.
Lower Downtown
LoDo- In 1973 the 1400 Block of Larimer Street was designated as Denver's First
Historical District.
Montclair
Transformed from what was once considered a patch of the great american desert to
one of Denver's finest residential suburbs!
Park Hill
The Park Hill neighborhood was developed in 1882. Monaco Parkway is a main
thoroughfare and is characterized by the wide, tree-lined neighborhood and streets.
Park Hill's nationally recognized neighborhood organization sponsors an annual tour
of the many historic homes in the community.
Potter Highlands
The Potter-Highlands Historic is defined from Federal to Zuni and West 32nd to
West 38th Avenues.
University Hills
The area known as University Hills in Denver can be described as from Colorado
Blvd on its west. Yale Ave to the north, Interstate 25 on the east and Hampden
also known as State Highway 285 along the south.
Washington Park
From I-25 to Cherry Creek and from University Boulevard to Downing Street,
the neighborhood is rich with entertainment. The neighborhood contains a small
cluster of shops and various restaurants .
Wellshire
The Wellshire neighborhood affords it's residents extremely easy access to
Downtown Denver, City Park and Zoo, Southeast and Southwest metropolitan areas.
Wyman's
The land east of what would later become the location of the State's Capitol -
High out of harms way from the Cherry Creek river.
